MEET THE BOC STAFF
In this special edition of “Meet the BOC Staff,” we chat with
Sue Pereira, who recently retired after 10 years as the BOC’s
Administrative Assistant. If you have ever called the BOC or
stopped by, it’s likely that Sue has chatted with you or helped
What have you enjoyed most about your job at the
I enjoyed my fellow employees. The BOC staff is awesome.
They are always very helpful and understanding. Always
making me smile.
I thoroughly enjoyed when the Board of Directors, the Exam
Development Committee or any other committee came to the
BOC. They are such an interesting group of people. I loved all
of their stories.
I enjoyed speaking with many different people via the phone.
Athletic Trainers are such a great group of people.
Every day was an enjoyable experience of learning something
new and interacting with nice people.
What are your plans for retirement?
I plan to spend time volunteering at different organizations,
riding my bike more, reading more of my favorite author, Nora
Roberts, and spending time with my hubby and dog, Charlie.
Of course I plan to take more vacations to the highways and
byways of America with my husband and Charlie. Thanks to
Sirius I can sing along to my favorite songs from the 60s. My
favorite road trip in the past was traveling in October through
Canada and the New England states. Being an avid gardener,
I thought the foliage was wonderful.

Sue has been a fantastic face and
voice for the BOC. It has been
amazing to witness her treat each
individual with the utmost dignity,
respect, and care. Sue will be greatly
missed as the voice on the phone or
the smiling face as one walks into
the office. I hope that the kindness
shown by Sue will be given back to
