Dear BOC Approved Provider,
As we approach the final quarter of 2016, we are reflecting on our first year under
the new Standards;for;BOC;Approved;Providers. Thanks to the efforts of you and
our Approved Provider community, BOC Certified Athletic Trainers can now expect
greater consistency in content, instruction, business practice and more.
The Standards were developed to encourage a more rigorous continuing education
experience for Athletic Trainers. All these efforts combine to work toward a common
bottom line: greater protection of the public served by athletic training clinicians.
Now, we ask you to reflect. As you prepare to renew your BOC Approved Provider
status for 2017, think about what went well this year and what you would like to
improve next year. You will have the opportunity to formally assess your program
performance when completing your annual report, a requirement for all BOC
Approved Providers who plan to renew their status.
Reminders about renewing your BOC Approved Provider status will be forthcoming,
and more information can be found on Page 4. For now, keep in mind the following
•;October - December 31, 2016: Window to pay the renewal fee
•;January - March 31, 2017: Window to complete your annual report
